Reading...

Notes acquired from reading - In a story, it's best to keep the dialogue as free as necessary, and avoid making it sound "forced." Show, don't tell. Don't give away insights to an event through telling, just show it. Avoid redundancy errors, such as elaborating on gestures and speech to restate that a character is such and such. Allow the reader freedom of imagination and give them the benefit of the doubt, trust that they "get" and "remember" details. All noted, but to put them in practice will require a lot of...well, /practice/. o__o Looking forward to it fosho. Must prepare for this year's NaNoWriMo, after all.
